Character_sketch lo res

Steam Punk girl. This piece was originally conceived as a promotional image for a comics class I taught for kids. The cars were especially fun to paint in perspective.

Dino_Sami_print_lo_res

Like any good boyfriend, I painted my significant other as a desert warrior, decked out in armor from the 1980s Heavy Metal movie/ Wendy O Williams and gave her a pet velociraptor.

Literary Illustrations

Here are some illustrations inspired by various works of fiction. It’s a graphic collection of the things that I have been reading for the last six months. The series is quite eclectic so far.

These digital paintings are mostly from my imagination. I tried to reference physical objects that I had lying around the studio when dealing with the complexities of the human form and drapery. This meant drawing from plastic mannequins and modeling in front of a mirror with my old college graduation robe. I tried to keep myself from using photographs but I had to cheat a bit and use Google Images for things like horses, ravens, and Quidditch boxes.
